Easy Does it!
Hi!
Today I decided to get back to the "basics". I took out this book I have called "I taught myself to crochet". I did each step even though it was review for two-thirds of it, I gained a lot of information I skipped over by doing it on my own. I learned why you have to add chains at the ends and how many. I learned how to do a half-double crochet. I also learned how to do fringe, which on my last project really screwed up!
So now, to kind of shake things up I decided to do the first pattern in this beginner book called "Easy Scarf". It is basically a lesson in double and single crochet and fringe. I had extra Aran yarn from this other project I'm on (a Diamond trellis afghan) and I now have two projects in tow.
My husband is going to help me with getting pictures of the stuff I'm working on soon, as well as a few pictures of the blankets I "attempted" when all I knew was to single crochet.
'til we hook up again,
Nikki Lynne

I am only 17, but I can appreciate crochet, believe me. One time when I was in Grade 2, my teacher brought in crochet kits and taught us all how. I made a little rug (probably the size of a fist), and although I never kept it up, it was a good memory.
Check out chazinc.blogspot.com for a good laugh. Be sure to read "Garbage Garments", posted June 8th.
Chaz out.
